Bereavement & Consolation Ministry

The Divine Mercy Catholic Church (DMCC) Bereavement & Consolation Ministry provides parish support and healing at a time of loss. This ministry extends the hand of our loving God at a time of need.

Mission & Purpose:

The Ministry of Bereavement & Consolation is a care giving group of trained ministers dedicated to the needs of family and friends when they have suffered the loss of a loved one. This ministry is among the first hands to reach out and help others of our DMCC community at a difficult time.

Responsibilities:
– Meeting with family in preparing the Funeral Liturgy
– Participating in the celebration of the Funeral Liturgy (Greeters, Eucharistic Ministers, Servers and Lectors)
– Providing hospitality support for a reception, if requested
– Providing follow-up and support to the deceased’s family

Consolation & Bereavement Ministry

Meetings take place the 3rd Saturday of every month and
are facilitated by individuals trained to assist you with the
grief process.

Consolation & Bereavement Ministry – Meetings take place the 3rd Saturday of every month

Divine Mercy Parish offers a monthly Grief Support Group
for those who have experienced the loss of a loved one
(regardless of how long ago the loss occurred). Those who
attend are asked to respect the confidentiality of others
and privacy is respected. Information is provided that will
help the bereaved cope with grief and the aftermath of your
loss. There is NO cost to attend.

Grief Support Group

Divine Mercy Parish offers a monthly Grief Support Group for those who have experienced the loss a loved one (regardless of how long ago the loss occurred). Meetings are confidential and privacy is respected. Information is provided that will help the bereaved cope with grief and the aftermath of your loss.
